Winter is an exciting time in Breckenridge. With an average snowfall of over 170 inches year after year, Breckenridge boasts a magical winter wonderland. You can slap on your skis and cruise one of the 187 trails at Breckenridge Ski Resort where there is over 2,908-acres of skiable terrain that ranges from back country bowls to groomed trails and there are terrain parks to keep the extreme sport fans adrenaline flowing. 

Winter adventure does not end on the slopes though. Other superb winter time activities such as snowmobiling, snow tubing, snow shoeing, horse drawn sleigh rides and dog sledding, as well as plenty of cross country skiing to be had in the White River National Forest or three nearby Nordic centers.
