Breckenridge Alpine Slide
The Gold Runner Alpine Coaster on Peak 8 is a fun and adrenaline-filled option for your next visit to Breck. The Coaster track length is 2,500 feet and it runs through the forest with scenic vistas over the ski runs.
The entrance to the coaster is at the base of Peak 8, between the Rip’s Ride chairlift and the Kids Castle. The coaster is like a double seat roller coaster that you control the speed of. The track pulls the cart and you to the top of the ride, then it’s full throttle all the way down for smiles. You control your own speed through the turns and dips through the forest. If visiting with children, they can ride in the front seat while you control speed from the back seat.
The Breckenridge Alpine Slide is open in both winter and summer. In the summertime, be sure to get out and enjoy before the lines get long and the thunderstorms roll in. In the wintertime, openings may delay due to snow removal. The coaster’s location lets you even enjoy the fun of a ride in the middle of your ski day!
In the summertime, a host of other options open up on the mountain. An alpine super-slide hurtles down the mountain. Gold panning is available for smaller children. A two-stage Zip-line with a first dual span of 392ft and a second quad span of 1095ft! You’ll soar through the air and over the runs at over 50ft in the air! Super-putt mini-golf for enthusiasts.
Scenic chair lift rides, with the option to mountain-bike down the mountain after the ride. Off-road segway tours up the mountain. A Mine-shaft maze, get lost and find yourself again! A Rockpile Climbing Wall for amateur climbers. A SuperBungee Trampoline for young children and teens, and Ripperoo’s Bounce Corral for the little tikes.
In conclusion, come enjoy all that Peak 8 has to offer, winter and summer alike!
